We’re excited to share two important updates from Haringey Council that we think many of you will want to know about — especially if you have children, grandchildren, or young family members in Hornsey.
🎨 Holiday Fun 2025: A Summer Full of Activities

Summer is nearly here — and Haringey’s much-loved Holiday Fun programme is back!
From sports camps and arts workshops to forest adventures and swimming, there’s something for every young person to enjoy. Many activities are free or low-cost, making them accessible to as many families as possible.
Some highlights include:
£1 junior swims at Park Road and Tottenham Green pools.
Multi-sport and cricket camps.
Creative workshops at Bruce Castle Museum.
Outdoor forest school activities in Coldfall Woods.
There are also special Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) clubs offering free activities and meals for children who receive free school meals.
You can find the full list of activities and details on how to sign up in the Holiday Fun booklet, or check out the Council’s dedicated webpage: Holiday Fun Haringey.
We know that keeping children active and engaged over the holidays isn’t always easy — this programme is a great way to help them stay healthy, make friends, and have fun close to home.
🍼 Have Your Say: Improving Early Years Together
The second update is all about shaping the future of early years services in Haringey.

The Council has launched Improving Early Years Together, a new engagement platform where parents, carers, and local childcare providers can share their experiences and ideas.
Your feedback will help shape services like:
Childcare provision and affordability.
Support for families with young children.
Early education programmes.
Help us build better services for you, your family, or service.
Have your say today and be in for a chance to win one of 5 x £100 vouchers - our consultation is open until 31 August 2025!
The more voices we hear, the better we can design services that truly work for local families — so please do take a few minutes to get involved.
