🌺 Remembrance Sunday in Hornsey and Wood Green

Remembrance Sunday is always an important and reflective day.
We were honoured to represent Hornsey at several services across the borough where we could pay our respects to those from Hornsey who gave their lives so we could enjoy the freedoms we too often take for granted.
We began the morning at the Hornsey War Memorial on Park Road, where we laid a wreath on behalf of Haringey Labour, alongside our Hornsey and Friern Barnet MP Catherine West. It was a dignified and thoughtful service, and we were grateful to join residents, veterans, the police, local armed forces and families in paying our respects.

We then made our way to the borough-wide Remembrance service in Wood Green, which was incredibly moving and a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made across generations from a whole range of communities, backgrounds, races and religions.

Later on, we stopped for a coffee at the newly opened Oak and Bean Café on Hornsey High Street ☕ — a lovely addition to our local community — before heading to St Mary’s Tower for the Hornsey service.

Adam was honoured to give a reading of In Flanders Fields, which was a very humbling moment.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at these commemorations.
We will remember them. 🌺
