Last month, we looked back at what we promised in 2022 — and what we’ve delivered.
This week, we’re proud to launch our new manifesto for 2026–2030. You can read the full document here.
This is more than a list of policies. It’s a commitment — to build a fairer, safer and greener Haringey, and to put residents at the heart of every decision we make.

A borough that stands together 🤝
At a time when division and extremism are on the rise, Haringey stands differently.
We are a borough with a proud history of radicalism, solidarity and community — and we do not cower to extremism of any kind. Haringey remains defiantly united. 💪
But we don’t take that for granted.
That’s why we bring communities together through our Multi-Faith Forum, work with local charities to welcome refugees and migrants, and stand up for every resident — no matter who they are or where they come from.
Our Labour team reflects that diversity too — 57 candidates, speaking over 20 languages, rooted in the communities we serve. 🌍
Building on delivery — going further 🚀
We’ve shown over the past four years that we deliver.
Now we’re going further — with ambitious, practical commitments that meet the challenges facing residents today.
We will:
👉 Build 5,000 new council homes — all at council rent 🏡
👉 Deliver the Decent Homes Standard to 100% of council homes by 2028 🔧
👉 Create a new Renters’ Rights Enforcement Team to protect private tenants ⚖️
👉 End rough sleeping and expand support for those most in need 💛
We’ll also take action to make our neighbourhoods safer:
👉 Roll out a new anti-social behaviour task force across our estates 🚨
👉 Increase visible patrols and tackle persistent issues head-on
A greener, healthier borough 🌱
We’re committed to making Haringey greener and more liveable:
👉 Plant 4,000 street trees and 5,000 more in parks and green spaces 🌳
👉 Expand School Streets to 50 and introduce a Right to Play Streets 🚸
👉 Protect the Freedom Pass and support sustainable travel 🚌
Investing in culture, community and opportunity 🎨
We want a borough where everyone can thrive:
👉 Deliver London Borough of Culture — with local art, murals and educational plaques 🎭
👉 Increase affordable workspace for local businesses 💼
👉 Keep all library services open 📚
👉 Renew our commitment as a Borough of Welcome 🤝

This is our promise 🌹
This manifesto is rooted in what we’ve learned — from conversations on the doorstep, casework, community campaigns, and working alongside residents every day.
We are proud of what we’ve delivered. We are ambitious about what comes next.
And we will continue working — with you — to build a borough that is fairer, safer and greener for everyone.
