We recently met with Cabinet Member Cllr Ruth Gordon and council officers for a site visit along Tottenham Lane to look at several projects currently underway or being planned for the area. It was a really helpful opportunity to see everything on the ground and talk through how these pieces can fit together.

There are a number of improvements in progress, including:
the proposed redevelopment of the Lotus site
plans for a cycle lane on Tottenham Lane
finishing works around Dixon Gardens and the former Police Station
refurbishment of the Tottenham Lane triangle
Residents have also been telling us about the historic importance of this stretch ā as the entrance to Hornseyās original village ā and the idea of a sign or marker to reflect that heritage has come up repeatedly. We think this is a great suggestion and will continue exploring it with officers.
Thereās plenty to celebrate locally too, from KONK, The Kinksā recording studio, to the strong potential for new and independent businesses to thrive here, helping the area grow alongside Crouch End rather than being overshadowed by it.
We also discussed the run-down residentsā garden on Harold Road, which clearly needs attention. All of these issues have been raised directly with Haringey Council, Chief Executive Andy Donald so they can be considered together rather than in isolation.

Our aim is a coherent plan that connects these projects and reflects what residents want for the area.
Thereās lots going on ā and lots still to do ā but weāll keep pushing to make sure Tottenham Lane gets the coordinated improvements it needs.
