We know that speeding on our residential roads is a major concern for many of you, and we want to thank all the residents who’ve been in touch — especially those living on and around Nightingale Lane and Rectory Gardens. Your reports, emails and conversations with us have been vital in pushing this forward. 🙏

We’re really pleased to let you know that we have now secured formal speeding assessments for both streets. 🚗💨📊

These assessments will allow the council to collect accurate data on traffic speeds, including at the times of day when residents say the problems are worst. This evidence is essential — it gives us the basis we need to argue for proper safety measures, traffic calming, and improved enforcement if required.

We’ll keep you updated on the timing of the surveys and what happens next. In the meantime, please continue to report any incidents or concerns — every bit of information helps us make the case for safer streets across Hornsey. 💬🌳
