After a long, determined campaign, we’re absolutely delighted to share that the licence for North Eight has now been terminated and the landlords have left. 🙌
This is a huge result for Hornsey — and one we’ve worked relentlessly to achieve.
For far too long, residents were dealing with serious anti-social behaviour, late-night noise, and ongoing disruption. Families, school children, and local businesses were all being affected — and it was clear something had to change.
So we took action.
We pushed this every step of the way 🧾⚖️
As your Hornsey Councillors we have been working as hard as we can to resolve this issue for you, our residents.
Over the past year, we:
👉 Triggered the Licensing Review to get the process started
👉 Worked closely with police and council officers to build the case
👉 Attended every hearing and made the argument for full revocation
👉 Challenged delays and attempts to avoid accountability
👉 Kept the pressure on until action was taken
We were clear from the start — this couldn’t be fixed with minor tweaks. The licence had to go. ⚠️

Backed by residents 🗣️
At every stage, residents backed this campaign.
Your emails, evidence, and conversations with us strengthened the case and made it impossible to ignore the scale of the problem. This was a real joint effort, and we were determined to make sure your voices were heard when it mattered. 📢
We don’t walk away from issues like this 🚫
When residents raise serious concerns, we act - and we keep going until something changes. This case shows exactly that: persistent, hands-on councillor action can make a real difference.
Thank you 🙏
Thank you to everyone who stood with us, shared their experiences, and kept pushing alongside us.
We’ll always work hard to protect Hornsey and our community. 💪🌳
