We had a fantastic time in Priory Park this week, planting new trees as part of the park’s ongoing regeneration. With the upgraded playground now open and already being enjoyed by families across Hornsey, this next phase brings even more life, shade and nature into the space.
Cllr Dana Carlin and Cllr Adam Small joined local children — and the brilliant council tree team (thank you Dan and Anne!) — to plant a series of new trees around the playground 🌱🙌🏼.
These trees will help create much-needed shaded areas, boost biodiversity, and make sure Priory Park continues to grow and flourish for future generations.
This follows over £100,000 of investment from Haringey Labour in the new playground — ensuring it’s a welcoming, inclusive and exciting space for children and families for many years to come.
It was great to see so many young people getting involved, learning about tree planting and helping shape their local park.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part — we can’t wait to watch these trees and young people grow! 🌳💚
